The First Christmas Card
The first Christmas card was sent in 1843 by Sir Henry Cole in England. It featured a festive family scene and helped start the tradition we still follow today.
Why December 25?
While the actual birth date of Jesus is not recorded, December 25 was chosen by the Western Christian Church in the 4th century, possibly to coincide with winter solstice festivals.
